Tackling Boston’s Racial Wealth Gap and Planting the Seeds for a Solidarity Economy

In Boston, the median net worth of a White family is $247,500, while that of a Black, US born family is $8 (Federal Reserve of Boston). Through interactive learning and personal reflection, explore how the racial wealth gap came to be and learn about the Boston Ujima Project’s work building a community-controlled economy that shifts wealth and decision-making power to local communities of color. Learn about concrete ways you can join in this effort, from investing financially to purchasing from Ujima businesses to becoming a member.
